This is the learning place to find all the tools or resources that have been used to help create our buldingbloX from which our passionately patient sandcastle sculptors have built their sandcastles in our sandboX. When the average financially disadvantaged have-not learners return from school to home, they enter a world of total digital isolation: a Digital Educational Apartheid. These learners, with no convenient at-home Internet access, do not have an equal opportunity to expand their use of their at-school digital learning skills.
have-not learners
We realize that the more generally accepted term for this class of students is at-risk, we have chosen instead to use the term have-not learners to clarify the cause and severity of their situation and to also broaden the scope to include former dropout students who wish to use the re-education process to gain more meaningful employment.
millennial learners
The latest research on our student-learners’ view of the current state of education in America indicates that young people find traditional education irrelevant, uninteresting and unchallenging. This new breed of learners is commonly referred to as digital millennials.
social media
Social media describes the online, tools, and platforms people use to share opinions, insights, experiences, and perspectives with each other.

eContent is a more recently developed term, first used in the library and museum worlds to embody a broader vision of open content.

Uses thousands of overlapping WiFi service zones to provide blanket coverage over a municipal area.

A Personal Learning Environment is a facility for an individual to access, aggregate, configure and manipulate digital artefacts of their ongoing learning experiences.
iGZMO
A small, handheld wireless computer that is voice activated. The computer would offer high-speed access to a kid-friendly Internet, populated with websites that are safe, designed specifically for use by [learners], with no pop-up ads. Using this device, [learners] would complete most of their in school work and homework, as well as take online classes both at school and at home.
eContent mastery tutoring
The system will greatly accelerate learning, lock information into long-term memory, and produce true eContent Mastery, which is defined as the ability to properly recall and effectively use information whenever it is needed.
